Laminated Floors |
Laminated Floorboards are a type of engineered floorboard which do not contain any solid timber. Laminated Floorboards are generally a compound of timber fibres and resin compacted together to form what is known as MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) or HDF (High Density Fibreboard). Quick-Step® laminated floorboards are made using the latest manufacturing technology to create High Density Fibreboards which are harder and more durable then the traditional Medium Density Fibreboards. Laminated Floorboards simulates natural timber with a photographic image layer of natual timber under a protective film.
Laminated Floors are installed the same way as Engineered Timber Floors. Laminated floorboards can be glued or laid on top of the floor base. Quick-Step® Laminated Floorboards don't need to be glued to the subfloor because they employ a unique patented Uniclic® tongue and groove system which lock together much tighter than the traditional tongue and groove systems.
Laminated Floors cannot be sanded. Laminated Floors come in different sizes and pre-arranged blocks. they also come in wide range of different simulated timber species.
